PLATFORM

The New York Transit Museum presents PLATFORM, an exciting series of cross-disciplinary programs created by the public for the public.Live performance, documentary film, animated GIFs, clowns, prayer beads, and a ride on the culture loop — all set against the backdrop of the 1936 subway station home.
This ongoing series of crowd-sourced programs invites “commuters who happen to be artists and
artists who happen to be commuters to present and show work inspired by the city’s subways
and buses” (New York Times).

Maya Quattropani, Visual Artist, Art Teacher & Performer presents:

Body Reaction Project Cough, a guided game with simple rules that simulate/stimulate, the rituals of our daily commutes. Performers and audience members collaborate to emit sounds and perform a musical symphony that addresses one of the most uniting contemporary urban phobias: contagion.
