IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE

In The Mood For Love – Book Presentation

By Federico Possati, with Michele Maturo

Presented by Thomas Roma

Readings by Carlotta Brentan

Earlier this year, New York-based Italian photographer Federico Possati traveled to Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day weekend with the semi-serious intention of drawing a portrait of love. Somewhere between the artificiality of the city and his getting lost through its streets, camera in hand, Possati encounters and collects fragments of a story that he then gradually composes to create this book.

In The Mood For Love narrates love with irony and romanticism, disillusion and passion, clichés and loneliness, in an almost surreal atmosphere.

Three short poems by Italian poet Michele Maturo are the only text that the book needs and provides. In the end, they are the ones that carry the reader through a journey between discouraging truths and enchanting lies.
