THE BRIDGE BOOK AWARD – Meet the winners

Meet the winners of the Italian section of the Book Award “The Bridge”: Nadia Terranova, Gli anni al contrario, Einaudi and Marco Belpoliti, Primo Levi di fronte e di profilo, Guanda, in conversation with Stefano Albertini and Victoria De Grazia.

Book Award “The Bridge,” this year in its second edition, has been created and promoted by Casa delle Letterature of the Rome Municipality, the Embassy of the United States in Rome, and the American Initiative for Italian Culture (AIFIC). The Award is endorsed by the Embassy of Italy in Washington, DC, and the American Academy in Rome.

The Award is meant to be a “bridge” that connects two cultures, the Italian and the American, in order to promote awareness and exchange of the most recent cultural trends in the two countries.

“The Bridge” is conferred annually to one work of Fiction and one work of Nonfiction, which have been recently published in Italy and the United States, It consists of a prize that bestows a sum to the winners, and that covers both the cost of translation and travel expences. Furthermore, the authors will be assisted in finding a publisher for the book in the country of non-origin.
