Raffaello – il Principe delle Arti Docu-Film

By invitation only. Reserved to the Friends of ICI.

Screening of the Docu-Film on Raffaello produced by SKY TV. Introductory remarks by Andrea Bayer, curator, Met Museum.

The film is a marriage between artistic digressions, entrusted to famous art historians, refined historical reconstructions, which guarantee an intimate and emotional involvement, and the most advanced techniques of filming in 3D and UHD for a visual experience totalizing and immersive.

The artistic digression starts from Urbino passing through Florence, arriving in Rome and at the Vatican, which represents, at the same time, the apex and the epilogue of the striking artistic career of Raffaello, for a total of 15 locations and over 50 works examined.

Andrea Bayer, Jayne Wrightsman Curator, received her PhD from Princeton University in 1990, and has been on the staff of The Met since that time, in the Department of European Paintings.
