The documentary will be introduced by Chiara Repetto co-owner with her sister and partner Francesca Kaufmann of Kaufmann Repetto, a contemporary art gallery based in Milan and New York.

Bice Lazzari’s life is a story of strength, emancipation and freedom. And this documentary, telling her story, is also an opportunity to show the 20th century from an unprecedented point of view, that of a woman who fought against the morals and customs of the past to establish herself as an artist. Between testimonies and archive materials, the documentary is the portrait of an artist who has made her life the manifesto of her art.

Featured in the movie, interviews with: Renato Miracco (international art critic and curator), Francesco Bonami (international art critic), Christine Macel (art curator, director of the Pompidou museum), Paola Ugolini (curator and art critic), Richard Saltoun (gallerist).

Presented at the Rome Film Fest 2022, it is produced by Mompracem.

(60’- in Italian with English subtitles)
