Baroque facades: genealogy and interpretation - Lecture

EVENT IN ITALIAN - The second lecture, by María Cristina Dawson, is entitled: Baroque facades: genealogy and interpretation, and focuses on the Baroque facades, their Venetian references and their relationship with the new urban planning of Rome, and on the Baroque facades in ancient churches of the South America and the possible influence of classical motifs in their configuration.

María Cristina Dawson is an architect who has focused her research into the relationship between History, History of Art and Cultural Heritage. She obtained the title of architect from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, the title of II Level Master in Architectural Restoration and Building, Urban and Environmental Recovery at the Roma Tre University, and subsequently, the title of II Level Master in Cultures of the heritage, knowledge, protection, enhancement, management, at the Roma Tre University and the PhD in History, at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. She is a member of the Instituto de Historia del Arte, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, where she is engaged in research projects and collaborates as coordinator with the Editorial Direction of the publication Cuadernos de Historia del Arte
