  • Luoghi del Contemporaneo - The Places of the Contemporary

The Places of Contemporary website is the result of a systematic mapping of the places that exhibit, enhance and promote contemporary art, throughout the Italian territory and open to the public, excluding those for commercial purposes. This interactive and constantly updated survey is an important tool that allows everyone - insiders and non-professionals - to know the vast and heterogeneous panorama of contemporary creativity in Italy.

Created by an initiative of the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activitie, and of Tourism,

The database includes the following types: Art in public spaces, Associations, Collections, Foundations, Foreign Institutes, Museums, Corporate and Business Museums, Parks and Gardens, Exhibition Spaces and Independent Spaces.

  • Newitalianbooks.it digital platform will be presented on June, 11 at 11.30am (Italy time) in a remote press conference onwww.facebook.com/treccani

 

Newitalianbooks.it is a new digital platform aiming at the internationalization of Italian book publishing. The initiative, promoted by Istituto dell' Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Center for Books and Reading-Cepell in collaboration with the Italian Association of Publishers-AIE, will be presented on June, 11 at 11.30 in a remote press conference.

Functions and purposes of the new platform will be illustrated by Massimo Bray, editorial director of the Italian Encyclopedia Institute, Lorenzo Angeloni, director general for the promotion of the country system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Romano Montroni, president of Cepell and Ricardo Franco Levi, president of AIE.

Following, a forum on the international future of tricolor publishing, moderated by Cristina Faloci, with the participation of Helena Janeczek, winner of the 2018 Strega Prize, and Federico Andornino, editor at Weidenfeld & Nicolson, London.

The event will be broadcasted live on the Treccani Facebook page (www.facebook.com/treccani).

The event will also be promoted through the network of 83 Italian Cultural Institutes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on the Cepell Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cepell) and on the AIE website (www.aie.it ).
