The festival continues its mission of showcasing vital European filmmaking by introducing a wide-ranging selection of contemporary European cinema in varying genres that cover many current social and cultural themes and depict life in diverse European countries. Panorama Europe offers New York audiences what may be their only chance to see these acclaimed films on the big screen. The festival board, chaired by the Czech Center, is comprised of Albanian Institute, Austrian Cultural Forum, Czech Center, Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations, Cultural Services of the French Embassy, Goethe – Institut, Hungarian Cultural Center, Italian Cultural Institute, Onassis Foundation (USA) and Greek Consulate, Polish Cultural Institute New York.
