10:45 a.m. The Bridge Book Award
Presentation of the Italian winners of the 7th Edition 2022 and announcement of the candidates of the 8th Edition 2023.
Walter Siti (2022 winner for Italian non fiction) will be in converstion with Brian Robert Moore, translator of his book Contro L’impegno (Rizzoli), and Chiara Valerio (2022 winner for Italian fiction) will discuss with Antony Shugaar, translator of her novel Così per sempre (Einaudi). Along with them, and some of the American winners, the panel includes the new Italian fiction and non-fiction candidates for the 2023 Edition of the Prize.
Representatives of all the institutions that support the award - the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, FUIS (United Italian Federation of Writers), American Academy in Rome, the Center for American Studies and Civitella Ranieri Foundation - will participate in the event.
