Claudio Pagliara interview

PAGLIARA, IN 2026 WE ARE BRINGING PALLADIO’S ARCHITECTURE TO NEW YORK. MACERATA, OCTOBER 24 – “Next year, the projects of the Italian Cultural Institute in New York will truly showcase the best of our culture in a very special year, considering that in 2026 the United States turns 250. We want to bring Palladio‘s architecture, which is housed in the Vicenza Museum, to New York, because Palladio is the architect who most influenced American architecture. Suffice it to say that the temple of democracy, Capitol Hill, is clearly inspired by Palladio.” Claudio Pagliara, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, told ANSA on the sidelines of the second day of the Stati Generali of Cultural Diplomacy in Macerata. “Furthermore, we will develop high-level cultural cooperation projects with leading New York institutions. The first initiative has already begun: next year, Carnegie Hall will be hosting a major festival to celebrate the 250th anniversary and asked the Italian Cultural Institute to collaborate. We have presented five musical projects that will be included in Carnegie Hall‘s program for the first time, and I am very proud of this.”
