The Chelsea Music Festival returns to New York City this June for its fourth consecutive season. Artistic Directors Ken-David Masur and Melinda Lee Masur announce the CMF 2013 program centered on this year’s British-Italian theme and paying tribute to three composer anniversaries: Benjamin Britten (100th), Arcangelo Corelli (300th) and Carlo Gesualdo (400th). Once again, CMF invites audiences to experience site-specific programming that fuses music, art and cuisine. Performances will showcase existing and newly commissioned works in the classical, jazz, folk, art song and early music genres.As in seasons past, Festival artists hail from around the globe, including Britain, Italy, Germany and India. A palette of evening concerts, curated post-concert receptions, interactive family events, free outdoor performances, collaborative visual art exhibits, lectures, Festival Talks and late night shows fills nine days with over twenty Festival events in more than ten locations.
