Lorenzo Puglisi’s first solo exhibition in New York will open at the Italian Cultural Institute on Park Avenue on January 17th at 5:30 PM. The exhibition, titled Painting in New York, is presented by Institute Director Fabio Finotti and curated by art critic Guicciardo Sassoli De Bianchi. It features a selection of works created specifically for this event during Puglisi’s stay in the city.
On view until February 14th, the exhibition showcases the artist’s distinctive iconographic vision and unmistakable style. Puglisi’s powerful, evocative figures emerge from dark backgrounds—an aesthetic that has gained him recognition in recent years. His mysterious subjects, paired with unique brushstrokes in shades of white and red, now make their U.S. debut, thanks to the Italian Cultural Institute. This exhibition continues to foster the artistic exchange between Italy and the United States.
