Lecture by Fiorella Kostoris Padoa Schioppa
On the occasion of the publication of the “New Economics and Finance Dictionary” by Istituto Treccani, the Italian Cultural Institute of New York will host a lecture by Professor Fiorella Kostoris Padoa Schioppa, editor of this huge repository of the European state-of-the-art on the subject.
Financial illiteracy is not new, and is not only widespread, but its consequences have become more severe, because people now have to take so much responsibility for their financial lives. The financial marketplace, meanwhile, has become a vast emporium of choice and easy credit. The decisions to be made are more numerous and complex than ever before. The depth of our financial ignorance is startling.
