Marco Pelle “Between the Acts” – Conversation & performance

Pelle Between the Acts

“Between The Acts”

A talk with

Marco Pelle, choreographer, and Steven Melendez, Director, New York Theatre Ballet

Federico Pelle will join us in videoconference from Italy.

Dancer Monica Lima will perform an excerpt from “Reflections”.

Marco Pelle’s new work is titled “Reflections”, has been created for the New York Theatre Ballet as part of the series “Letters to my father” and portrays the choreographer’s personal contemplation at his father’s journey. For his new work, Marco Pelle has teamed up with his brother, composer Federico Pelle, to create a work that aimed at describing the life and personality of their father.

The work is part of NYTB’s “Letters to My Father” series, a multi-year, multi-disciplinary commission of dance works all on the theme of male artists writing letters to their fathers.

“Reflections” will premiere in NY on February 29 at the Florence Gould Hall at 7pm
