Banned Music

Itay Goren

On the occasion of Remembrance Day:

Banned Music

Itay Goren

Piano recital and lecture

Internationally acclaimed pianist Itay Goren presents Banned Music: a piano recital/lecture featuring five composers of different nationalities whose music was banned by the Nazis – Pavel Haas, Erich Korngold, Luigi Dallapiccola, Darius Milhaud and Paul Hindemith.
Mr. Goren will speak about the lives of the composers and will perform selections from their works, demonstrating the wealth of ideas and variety of styles that existed in Europe of the early 20th century, before the tragic events that followed the Nazis rise to power.
