ISCP – Artists At Work: Sara Enrico and Ludovica Carbotta

Closing event of the Premio New York, with the winners of the 2018 edition: Sara Enrico and Ludovica Carbotta.

Sara Enrico will make a reading starting from some suggestions of her project à terre, en l’air. For this presentation, she has invited Andrea Alis Respino and Byron Westbrook. Respino has contributed a short story Children’s Games (Possible drafts for a tribute to Bruegel) which Enrico will read informally, interwoven with Westbrook’s abstract sonic textures animated in space.

Ludovica Carbotta will introduce her on-going project Monowe: an imaginary city for one person only. Since 2016, the project is evolving in a multitude of complementary expressions, including the emergence of architectural fragments, the publication of documents on the historical origins of the city and the public manifestation of its only inhabitant. For Artist at Work, she will specifically present, in form of a reading, the episode Monowe (an interview) where the only inhabitant of the city makes her appearance, questioning her own existence in this imaginary context. Monowe disappears in its physical presence to enter into the words of its inhabitant.

Script contributions by Carlo Fossati, GianAntonio Gilli, Orizzontale, Matteo Alis Respino.
