The conversation reflects an in-depth knowledge of the life and personality of Meret Oppenheim developed by Martina Cognati during the research for the monumental biography of the artist (Meret Oppenheim. Levi, Milan, 2014, 540 pages). This is how the interests and experiences that contribute to Oppenheim’s personality will come to light: art, friendships, loves and desires, but also the frustrations and difficulties of a woman who has made her autonomy and intellectual independence not a goal, but the premise for every action and creation.

In occasione di Omaggio a Meret Oppenheim, Mostra Speciale di opere dalla collezione privata Fondazione Sanguedolce, curata dalla storica dell’arte: Martina Corgnati si svolgerà un’azione teatrale in italiano tenuta dalla stessa curatrice insieme allo psicanalista e psicoterapeuta Giovanni Castaldi, che assumono rispettivamente il ruolo dell’artista e del celebre psichiatra Carl Gustav Jung, che Meret Oppenheim effettivamente conobbe nel 1935.
La conversazione riflette un’approfondita conoscenza della vita e della personalità di Meret Oppenheim sviluppata da Martina Cognati durante la ricerca per la monumentale biografia dell’artista. Così verranno alla luce gli interessi e le esperienze che contribuiscono alla personalità di Oppenheim: l’arte, le amicizie, gli amori e i desideri, ma anche le frustrazioni e le difficoltà di una donna che ha fatto della sua autonomia e indipendenza intellettuale non un traguardo, ma la premessa per ogni azione e creazione.
