BOOK PRESENTATION | Cortina d’Ampezzo

Orizzontale per sito MASSIMO NAVA book

In view of the upcoming opening of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, together with Massimo Nava we explore Cortina d’Ampezzo, a jewel of the Italian Alps, which has always attracted those seeking adventure and the charm of the old world.

Its modern history begins with its glamour in the twentieth century as the “Queen of the Dolomites.” Cortina then made its way onto the world stage with the 1956 Winter Olympics. Since then, its slopes have welcomed royalty, movie stars, and alpine legends, captivating visitors with pink-hued, thrilling, and scenic peaks. In summer, the snow gives way to blooming meadows, and the mountains become a playground for hikers, climbers, and cyclists.

But don’t be fooled by its athletic prowess: Cortina also knows how to enjoy après-ski. The cold does not stop crowds of skiers from having fun beneath the Dolomites or dancing in one of the many nightlife spots in town. Cortina is more than a mountain; it’s a second home, complete with Ladin heritage, Alpine cuisine, and the chic boutiques of Corso Italia.
