Screening of the documentary film Ridendo e Scherzando, a tribute to the late director and screen-wright by his daughters, portraying an intellectual who has made delicate irony his way of looking at the world.
With the participation of Silvia Scola and Antonio Monda, NYU professor and director of Rome Film Festival, and Larry Kardish, former Senior Film Curator At The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Ettore Scola meets PIF, Pierfancesco Diliberto, who, at the Children cinema of Villa Borghese, challenges the master to singolar tenzone: irony and scorn, depth and cinefilia, the portrait is vivid, passionate, sharp, and traces his career back, under the attentive and loving (but also witty and ironic) gaze of Scola’s daughters.
In Italian with English sub-titles.
