The concert offers an original journey that intertwines language and music, blending singing in Italian and in the Abruzzese dialect with contemporary jazz sounds, and the contribution of world-class international musicians. The repertoire includes pieces from his album Radici as well as highlights from Scanzonati, the project he has led for more than 10 years alongside Andrea Pejrolo, which celebrates the encounter between Mediterranean tradition and Jazz.
Born in Pescara and raised between Abruzzo and Rome, Stefano Marchese is an internationally active artist and a faculty member at Berklee College of Music. He was named among the 100 most influential Abruzzesi in the world and received the prestigious NEMPAC Impact Award in 2024 for his contributions to Boston’s artistic community. He has collaborated with world-renowned artists including Bobby McFerrin, Luis Enrique, Mogol, Carmen Consoli, and Giovanni Caccamo, and has performed at festivals and international events across Europe and the United States.
A musical experience that fully embodies the spirit of Italofonia: a language that is constantly renewed and enriched through creative dialogue with cultures and sounds from around the world.
