The world-renowned organization La MaMa Experimental Theatre will host the Sara Galas Band formed by actor, singer songwriter Sara Galassini and composer and multi instrumentalist Yukio Tsuji, for two nights only.
The eclectic Duo will play together with drummer Bill Ruyle, pianist and mandoline player Claudio Scarabottini and bass player Yuka Tadano.
Well known Flamenco dancer Maria Elena Anaya from Mexico will perform as a guest artist.
Conceived and written by Galassini and composed in collaboration with Tsuji “Unmeasurable Picture” aims to theatrically portray today’s dynamic and troubled society and spread a message of unity and solidarity.
The Duo’s compositions take root in the tradition of Italian music and language but create rhythmic and melodic motifs that belong to world, jazz, rock, reggae, bossa nova, tango, flamenco and folk music.
