Maestro Matteo Fedeli will bring a precious Stradivarius built in 1726 on tour in the USA for the first time.The project, entitled, “A Stradivarius for the People,” aims at providing the general public, as well as aficionados, an opportunity at a firsthand glance at these unique and rare instruments. Fedeli, creator of the project, has presented and played his precious Stradivarius in concert halls and in the most beautiful Italian churches alongside the best Stradivari ever created. The violin and piano recital will feature a varied and captivating musical program, specially selected by Maestro Fedeli to enhance the Stradivarius’ magnificent timbre and acoustical versatility. These qualities lend themselves exceptionally well to many of the most supreme musical stylings of the violin: Saint-Saens, Frank and Bartok, as well as Williams, Kreisler and Rachmaninoff are just some of the composers whose music will be featured in a program that will even feature renowned pianist Andrea Carcano.
During the event, Maestro Fedeli will discuss his insights about the program and the history of this precious violin
