There are many historical testimonies on the birth of the artistic collaboration between Naples and New York. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, New York City saw an unprecedented wave of immigration, with millions of people arriving from around the world in search of better opportunities. Among these, there were numerous Neapolitans families. Arriving with dreams and ambitions, these families brought with them their traditions, their language, their food, and above all their music. Over the years, Little Italy became a refuge for Italians, a place where they could feel at home in a foreign land, and at the same time, Neapolitans in a foreign land discovered with great amazement the beauty and charm of American melodies, which quickly became the soundtrack that accompanied them on a new journey made of dreams and hopes.
