The Vocal Ensemble of Genoa’s Liceo Musicale Pertini is made up of students from classes III, IV and V and former students from the music-oriented high school route. All students, in addition to the training given by ensemble, vocal and instrumental music, study two instruments, and some of them sing.
The Ensemble has already had the opportunity to perform in Genoa (Teatro Carlo Felice, Auditorium “E. Montale”, Salone del Maggior Consiglio of Palazzo Ducale, Salone di Rappresentanza of Palazzo Tursi, Cathedral of S. Lorenzo, Sanctuary of N. S. di Montallegro, Oratory of S. Filippo,… ), in Cluj-Napoca and Bucharest in Romania, as a result of partnerships with the “Baritiu” high schools in Cluj-Napoca, “Dante Alighieri”, “Enescu” and “Neculce” high schools in Bucharest, on the occasion of the International Italian Language Week 2022 and Dante Week 2023, supported by the Dante Alighieri Society of Bucharest and the Association of Italians of Romania, and in Amman, Jordan, thanks to the Italian Embassy and the cultural program that the Embassy supports in Amman to expand knowledge of Italian tradition, culture, and talent, at an event in which the vocal and instrumental ensemble of the National Conservatory of Music in Amman also participated. He recently (July 2023) performed in Sweden. Upcoming concerts are planned in France/Britain (August 2023), the United States (October 2023) and Croatia (November). In June, the ensemble was the winner of the first overall prize (Abbado Prize) in the competition held by the Ministry of Education.
