In “Naples, port of the soul” there is the Naples of the world, with its melodies, harmonies, its stories of love and passion that speak to people’s hearts because they are an expression of colors, sounds and rhythms that go beyond any language barrier. The concert thus becomes an exciting journey to discover the Neapolitan popular song, from the villanelle with a madrigal flavor to the rhythmic swing of the tarantella up to the poetry of its serenades. Intimate and light, dramatic and nostalgic but also fun and ironic, the repertoire offers immortal themes with original jazz arrangements and an engaging vocal interpretation that enhances the tradition and musical identity of Naples, appreciated all over the world.

Mafalda Minnozzi is an interpreter and author with a strong personality and charisma. Throughout her career she has merged her vocal virtuosity with jazz, samba and other musical cultures with which she has come into contact to create a unique style that has projected her into an international dimension. Neapolitan singing is an integral part of these cultures. For over 35 years she has been a protagonist in the musical triangle that unites New York, São Paulo and Milan. She boasts hundreds of performances in festivals and reviews in various countries of the world, prestigious collaborations with artists such as Milton Nascimento, Dave Liebman, Leny Andrade, Guinga, Lucio Dalla, Joe Locke, Don Byron, Doug Beavers, Will Calhoun and many others; she has been part of the cast of popular television (Uno Mattina – RAIUNO) and radio (Stereonotte Brasil – RAI Radio1) shows and has released 20 CDs, 2 DVDs and countless soundtracks for films and television series as a singer and composer. Her most recent record production is the album “CINEMA CITY” which competed for the Grammy Awards 2023 and is dedicated to the masters Rota, Morricone, Cipriani, Mancini, Rustichelli, Rascel and Califano, authors of the most celebrated soundtracks of Italian cinema. The release of a new album heavily inspired by bossa nova with new illustrious participations is expected this September.
