After an introduction by Mattia Iovane, journalist, screening of the docu-film (80 min.) followed by a debate with Davide Ippolito, Umberto Mucci, and Cristiano Cosa who will also perform at the piano playing some of the film’s music scores.
New York Solo Andata (New York One Way) is the story of the American dream. The story of a journey to the Big Apple, from the first Italian migratory flows of the late 1800s and early 1900s to the present day, through the voices of those who, with courage and determination, fulfilled their American dream and distinguished themselves in various professional sectors, reaching New York, which has always been the gateway to the United States in search of new opportunities to achieve the pinnacle of well-being and professional success.
Among the personalities who tell their story, the Consul General in New York, Fabrizio Di Michele, the director of the Italian Cultural Institute prof. Fabio Finotti, and the director of the Agency for the promotion and internationalization of Italian companies abroad, ICE, Antonino Laspina.
Davide Ippolito is a director and producer of films and documentaries. Founder of ilsognoamericano.net and LuckyHorn Entertainment. He is Scientific Director of the Italian American Reputation Lab – IARL, and a consultant for the National Italian American Foundation – NIAF, Confindustria, Federmanager, Universities, and various Italian research institutions.
Original soundtrack of the docufilm by a team of Italian talents led by Mirko Ettore D’Agostino, a maestro and composer currently residing in Barcelona, and Andrea Pettine, sound designer, under the supervision of the executive producer Simone D’Andria.
