Publishers, traslators, writers, academics and book lovers are invited to attend the conference Out of Italy: Recent Trends in Italian Literature and the Publication and Promotion of Italian Authors in the United States.
The presence of leading figures from the Italian publishing world—Innocenzo Cipolletta, Giuseppe Iannaccone, and Luciano Lanna—together with prominent American publishers, including Michael Reynolds and Katie Raissian, offers a unique opportunity to take stock of the current state of Italian publishing and to gain a better understanding of the criteria American publishers use when selecting books for translation and publication. Our goal is to help more Italian books find their way to readers in the United States.
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion following the speakers’ opening roundtable.
