THEATER | Rossini: Il gusto della musica

locandina orizzontale

Gioachino Rossini celebration show presented by Manuele Morgese brings together live music, theater, and storytelling in a tribute to the musical and theatrical genius of Rossini.

Through the theatrical text by Paola Bidinelli, Rossini relives his career in the form of a confidential conversation over dinner, filled with anecdotes, music, witty remarks, irony, and delicious dishes. Orchestral excerpts and famous arias, curated by Nicolas Giusti, intertwine with the performance of Manuele Morgese — actor and artistic director of Teatrozeta — creating a journey that explores the composer’s life, his historical context, and the enduring modernity of his work.

The production aims to celebrate Rossini and the profound connection between music and theater, making his work accessible and engaging for a broad audience, including young people and students. It also seeks to promote Italian culture abroad, with particular attention to younger Italian-American generations, while fostering collaboration between Italian and American musical institutions.
