THE CONCEPT
SuperBook is a new literary prize created by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York with the goal of bringing Italian books to readers in the United States. The initiative is supported by Centro per il Libro e la Lettura and held under the patronage of the Italian Publishers Association and the Turin International Book Fair.
The prize consists of $10,000, to be used for the English translation of the winning book and its promotion in the U.S. market.
SuperBook is a prize of prizes. Each year, the Institute invites to New York the winners of ten of Italy’s most prestigious literary awards, including two prizes dedicated to debut works. Their books are evaluated by a jury of intellectuals, writers, translators, publishers, and academics with strong ties to the United States.

The second edition of SuperBook will take place from April 7 to 10, 2027.
