This exhibition, riveting and intimate at the same time, is divided in three sections:
- Portraits taken from 1975 to 2023, and including photos of Alberto Moravia, Gianni Agnelli, Alighiero Boetti, Leo Castelli, Diana Vreeland, and Peter Marino.
- Hoodooland Project capturing the incredible endangered Hoodoo rock carvings of southern Utah.
- Three Lindens Project a photographic tribute to three ancient linden trees that watched over the artist’s former family home in East Hampton, NY.
“What has always guided me as an artist is the passion for black and white. The selection of photographs in this exhibition first of all brings into focus the affection for very important people in my life, who have since passed away. The void left, over time, has been filled by nature. From the lunar landscapes of Utah to the deep roots of ancient trees, the love for nature has taken on a crucial role in my artistic evolution 1975 and 2023 which I hope illustrates the breadth of my work. I am very grateful for this extraordinary opportunity to exhibit my work at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York.” Priscilla Rattazzi
Priscilla Rattazzi was born in Rome, Italy and came to the United States in the early seventies. She studied photography at Sarah Lawrence College, and worked as an assistant to photographer Hiro. Throughout the eighties, Priscilla worked as a fashion and portrait photographer in New York. Her work appeared in Brides, Self, Redbook, New York and The New York Times Magazine. In Italy, her work appeared in Vogue Italia, Donna and Amica.
